Midnight

Mark named this pendant..... Midnight seemed like the perfect title.

This design features a huge black Andamooka Matrix gem opal with insane
purple-blue fire and a small faceted sapphire accent in a lovely shade
of clear, bright blue. The sterling silver setting was pierced and hand
engraved and we topped off the design with a gorgeous hand knotted
black freshwater pearl necklace. The pearls have shades of blue and
purple that accent the gem colors beautifully.

The pendant is inspired by the moonflower.... a gorgeous night blooming flower related to the morning glory~

Laelia Orchid

Laelia Orchid Pendant
By Jessica Dow & Mark Anderson

another L II

This is a hand fabricated Argentium silver & pink tourmalinependant we made for DeviantART’s Metalsmith group’s "Nature" contest. Our designwas directly inspired by the pink blossoms of the beautiful Laeliaorchid found in the Gulf of Mexico.
The veining detail in this design is made up of a single layer ofintricate piercing that covers the surface of the orchid. The piercingwork in the design is complimented by hand engraved accents on the baseof the pendant. Mark custom cut a deep pink tourmaline cabochon torepresent the bright pink center of the Laelia orchid known as the"labellum".

Lilly Barrette

This is the first barrette design collaboration I've made with my partner Mark Anderson. The barrette is pierced and hand engraved Argentium silver with an Andamooka Matrix gem opal cabochon cut by Mark. The Argentium stick has a tapered spiral design that helps hold the barrette into position.  The stick has an Andamooka Rainbow matrix opal cabochon on the end of the stick. Andamooka Rainbow matrix is a more porous opal type capable of withstanding more wear and tear than the Andamooka gem matrix or other pure opal types.
